Cruise Ship Combination Tours

The tours below can be combined with a cave tubing tour.

Zipline

The zipline tour in Belize at Caves Branch is privately owned, but it is very easy to combine with cave tubing because it is located very close to the Caves Branch Parking lot. It is easy and safe, and the experienced guides who help you are well trained and do it every day. They provide helmets, harnesses, and gloves. You are assisted whenever you need it.

The zipline consists of 10 platforms and seven "zips." First you climb up about 25-30 feet, get instructions, and you have an easy "trial" zip of 150 feet. The climbs are all steps with railings, not a ladder. The first climb is high into the canopy, and the following zips are from 200 feet to 600 feet. And when on the platforms you are hooked to the cables around the tree so you're not likely to step off. There are two guides per group, and one goes first and is at the platform when you arrive, and one is there to help you get off and flying!

The tour itself takes about 30-40 minutes once you get fitted. Sometimes there is a line and the wait could be 20-30 minutes.

It is possible for some members of your party to do the zipline and others not, due to the proximity of the two attractions. There are places for guests to wait while others do the zipline. You can do cave tubing together. Your guides will assist with this, just tell them.

If you choose to do the combination, your cave tubing tour will be slightly shorter in time because there will not be as much time for all the information about the flor and fauna, or a casual hike through the jungle. You will still get everything, though, as long a cave tubing tour as usual. Sometimes the zipline has somewhat of a wait, and that takes a little time. If you get of the ship early it is better.

It is possible for small children to do the zipline, the youngest being 3 years of age as long as they will fit in the harness. And it's possible the guides would take a child in tandem.

People can zipline as long as they fit into the harness, and people up to almost 300 pounds have successfully gone ziplining.

The Nov-Jan special cost for a combination cave tubing and zipline tour is $85 US per person, $65 for 9 yrs and under, and includes transportation, entrance fees, equipment rental, tour guide fees, soft drinks, water, rum punch and lunch. If you have 5 or more people, the cost is $80 US per person for adults and $60 for kids.

Your guides will help decide the best time in your tour to do the zipline.

Belize Zoo

It is possible to combine a stop at the Belize Zoo, The Best Little Zoo in the World (for about an hour) with a cave tubing tour. It is on the way to the Cave's Branch site. The cost for this combination is $90 US per person, $70 for kids 9 and younger. This includes transportation, entrance fees, equipment rental, tour guide fees, soft drinks, water, rum punch and lunch.

Altun Ha

This is a Mayan archaeological site that is north of Belize City. It is a different direction from Caves Branch, but it can be combined with a cave tubing tour. To do this combination tour, you need to get off the ship early, and your cave tubing tour will not be as leisurely as it would otherwise. If seeing a Mayan site is high on your list of priorities, the combination will work, but your cave tubing tour will not be as leisurely, like taking time to learn about all the rain forest animals and plants.

The cost for a combination Altun Ha and cave tubing tour is $100 US per person, minimum 2 people, and includes transportation, entrance fees, equipment rental, tour guide fees, soft drinks, water, rum punch and lunch. If you have 5 or more people, the cost is $90 US per person.

If you want to do just the Altun Ha tour, the cost is $55 US per person, minimum of 4 people. Costs include transportation, entrance fees, tour guide fees, soft drinks, water and lunch. US cash is fine for payment. You pay cash on the day of the tour, US dollars are fine.

Other attractions that can be combined with cave tubing, each tour is $65 per person, and includes transportation, entrance fees, tour guide fees, soft drinks, water and lunch.

If you want to do all three with cave tubing, the cost is $80 US per person.
