You are booked for a tour with us, Vitalino Reyes and cavetubing.bz when your cruise ship stops in Belize.
Details: ___________________________________________________________________________________________
(For your convenience, make a note of special information in the blank above such as prices, etc)
If the ship has announced that cave tubing is Belize is canceled due to heavy rains and flooding in the caves, we will be happy to provide you with an alternative tour, so please come off the ship and talk to me. Doing a tour is not mandatory, however.
When you get to Belize, there will be small boats to take you from the ship to the terminal. Please get to the tender as soon as possible. Though they say they get the people off first who have booked tours with the cruise, people tell us when they get there early, they have no problem getting a boat to the terminal. But if you wait until 8:00 and it gets crowded, we've been told that they will get the people off first who have booked tours with the cruise line.
If for some reason you cannot get off the ship early, we will wait for you until everyone has exited the ship, or no one else is coming off. That's why we need for you to try and notify us if you are unable to make the tour. I always prepare for the people who have booked, and I have expenses if you do not show up.
If you look toward the terminal as you come in the small boats, you
will see the direction of Terminal One. Whether you go right or left
when you reach the terminal will depend on where you are when you get
off the boat. Be sure and ASK for Terminal One and go there.
Be sure when you reach the terminal, go to TERMINAL ONE, that's important, also known as the Reef Terminal. Then go OUTSIDE, there is only one exit to the street from Terminal One. We have been told that the people who booked tours with the cruise are in long lines in the terminal, and you can just walk right past them to the outside. Vital or someone else with a yellow-gold cavetubing.bz shirt will be there with a cavetubing.bz sign, and your name will be on his list of bookings.
When you get to the terminal, there will be other guides trying to get you to go on tours with them. Just tell them you are booked. Do not go off with anyone-it has occurred that a guide told a group that Vitalino said go with them. Do NOT go with anyone in such a circumstance, unless I tell you to, and my guides will have on a yellow-gold cavetubing.bz shirt.
You can wear your bathing suit under your shorts and take them off when you get to the cave tubing site. There are dressing rooms at the site to change back into your dry clothes. All you need for cave tubing is your bathing suit. You will need some kind of water shoes, old tennis shoes will do, or Teva sandals! No flip-flops, they could fall off and get lost in the river. Your shoes will get wet. But they need to be OK for light hiking. You can lock your towels (which you need to bring), wallets, etc in the vehicle, things will be safe there while you are in the water.
Bring bug spray and sun screen just to be safe.
If you are booked for zipline and cave tubing your guide will decide the best time for doing zipline depending on the crowds.
When prepared for cave tubing you'll be fitted with a tube, lights and life-jacket, then hike down a short trail to the river where you will cross at a shallow place, and start your hike to where you'll get into the river on your tube for your trip down the river through the caves.
We will be preparing transportation and guides for you so if for some reason at the last minute you are not going to make the tour, please call us at 501-602-8975. We do not require a deposit, we work on good faith.
We are confident that your tour will one of the highlights of your
cruise if not the best shore trip of your week!
And don't forget to write us a review when you get home, please. Just go to the Reviews page and click on Write a review in the Trip Advisor box on the right.
I look forward to meeting you! Vitalino Reyes, cavetubing.bz, 501-602-8975. From the US first dial 011.
